Dawn phenomenon is when blood sugars rise in the morning for no apparent reason. Woke up at 109 and suddenly 140, could a shower alone cause the rise? I bolus'd a half unit prior to my shower. Some things are just not explainable.
I sometimes struggle with a weird rise, too. Mostly if I don't eat a breakfast, and it happens no matter what time I wake up. If the time was consistent I could battle it with a basal rate setting. But the inconsistency makes that hard to do.
